Photographing Ramanie and Jay’s wedding in Tuscany was an experience I won’t forget. This is a couple that booked a whole 2 years before their wedding day because they loved my work that much! Set at Villa Catignano just outside Siena, the day had the kind of calm energy that makes everything flow naturally. The setting helped, of course with classic Tuscan architecture, open courtyards, and views over the hills. the scenes were just begging to be photographed in film and digital!
The ceremony took place in an open-roof chapel away from the villa, a cruciform structure that, when viewed from above, reveals its full symmetry and shape. It’s rare to find a space that feels both architecturally grand and deeply intimate, but this one did exactly that. The light filtered through the open ceiling throughout, creating a soft, natural atmosphere that matched the tone of the vows perfectly.
Cocktail hour unfolded in the gardens with live music setting a relaxed but upbeat tone, as guests enjoyed the setting sun and signature drinks. Dinner followed outdoors, surrounded by cypress trees and long tables styled with a balance of simplicity and intention.
The energy shifted as the evening continued, the live band took over in the courtyard and turned it into a full celebration. The dancefloor was packed from the first song, and the atmosphere carried well into the night, filled with movement, music, and moments that felt completely unfiltered.
